present (since 1995) – freelance creative direction & graphic design, located in the dallas area; designed for clients in dallas metroplex, georgia, maryland, california, washington & the united kingdom. clients include churches and christian ministries, theater companies, financial organizations, publishers, educators & musicians.
2002-present – first baptist dallas, downtown dallas, titles: graphic designer (hired), creative director (current, since 2006); created/designed brochures, logos, direct mail, newsletters (digital & print), catalogs, tv and web graphics, email marketing, signage, audio/video packaging; cameraman & video control room operator for recorded special events; voice overs for promotional videos; involved in the launch and promotion of a multi-million dollar building campaign beginning in 2011; directed/designed the development of new mobile app launched in Spring 2014, updated weekly; sustaining member of AIGA since 8/2017
1997-2001 – the urban alternative (the radio/tv ministry of dr. tony evans), zang blvd in dallas, titles: graphic designer (hired), senior graphic designer (at exit); created/designed brochures, logos, direct mail, newsletters, catalogs, tv and web graphics, audio/video packaging; copywriting (product descriptions in newsletters and catalogs); received “employee of the year” award in 1999
1995-1997 – quik print/qpr production, farmer’s branch and grand prairie locations; title: key operator, pre-press operator; bw/color copies, bindery, pre-press (operating itek camera producing negative film for 2–4 color separations for printing presses), desktop publishing

EDUCATION
1989-1990, 1992 – american trades institute (ATI) for graphic illustration. learned basic floorplan design, typesetting, sketching, ad layout; graduated and returned to train in computer graphics (quark xpress, adobe illustrator, letraset letrastudio).
1986-1988 – wiley college in marshall, texas; major: mass communications. obtained fcc license and (briefly) worked as a radio personality for campus radio station.
